Spark of Hope 23.5"x17.5"

As a Pisces I often find my emotions mixed and tangled. I chose to create this piece although it might portray despair, for me it means quite the opposite, Hope. The figure is at the end of his rope. At the moment he is willing to give up, he holds up his head and fights with all his might to survive.

Acrylic paint by definition is "flatter" than oil. I decided to use acrylic to enhance my attempt to create depth and fight the characteristics of acrylic paint and the end result is the depth that I usually get using oil paints. It enhances my strive to convey the depth of my work.
